Four nabbed in cocaine bust

MOKOPANE- On Friday 6 May two Nigerian men aged 33 and 38 were arested along with two female accomplices (21 and 24) after they were caught in possession of cocaine at the Zebediela post office.
The Nigeraians apparently pretended to be motor mechanics who were expecting the delivery of a spare part from the England, but the Hawks were alerted regarding the suspicious parcel which had been posted from Ocean Queen, St Vincent in the UK. Police tracked the parcel, which was a roof light of Porsche wrapped in a box. Realising that inside the light there was cocaine, the police then controlled its delivery. It was addressed to a South African woman (21).
The parcel arrived at Mogoto Post Office in Zebediela with police monitoring its whereabouts. Two women came to collect the parcel with two men waiting outside. As they stepped out of the building with the parcel, police arrested them and the men in the car tried to flee, but all four suspects were arrested. Police recovered cocaine with a street value of about R100 000 inside the headlight. The four suspects appeared in the Mokopane Magistrate’s court on Monday, facing charges of possession and dealing in cocaine. , which was a roof light of Porsche wrapped in a box.
