Eskom gives back to the community

LEPHALALE - Medupi is in the process of launching over R28 million on Corporate Social Investment (CSI) projects to address the immediate socio-economic concerns of the local communities i.e. Seleka, Shongoane, Abbortspoort and Marapong. 
This was commitment was celebrated during a sod turning ceremony last Thursday at the Radinong Secondary School. The projects are currently in tender phase and execution is due to commence early January 2013. 
These projects form part of Eskom’s intent to leave a sustainable legacy in the Lephalale Municipal area and Waterberg District Municipality which would contribute to the Limpopo Provincial Gross Domestic Product (GDP.
The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Lephalale - Jack Maeko, Traditional Leaders, Medupi project manager - Roman Crookes, Jainthree Sankar and all Stakeholder Beneficiaries. 
The Mayor thanked Eskom for its continued contribution towards Lephalale’s economic growth.
