The 1ST of December is declared globally by the to be the World AIDS Day, it is during this day when people come together to show their caring and support to the individuals who are affected by this deadly HIV and AIDS pandemic. It is true when it is said that you are either affected or infected this disease. Sport is a unifying factor in the society. It is through sport and other mechanisms that can help to reach the goal of zero infection in future.
In celebration of the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) World Aids Day, Waterberg FET College hosted Sekhukhune FET College at the IT and Computer Science Centre for a firendly soccer match earlier this month.
The game started off slowly, but then both teams launched one attack after the other. Soon it was raining goals. The match was entertaining and kept the fans on their toes, both colleges shared their spoils with 5-5 after 90 minutes.
Then match was decided in the penalty shoot-out, where the hosts converted their 5 penalties brilliantly while the visitors missed 2 penalties. The match was intended to enhance relations and foster wellness for the participants.
