Marken Primary celebrates achievements

Marken Primary recently held their prize giving ceremony evening to honour the achievements of learners during 2013. Guest speaker at the event was Dr. Jacobs Tapala who finished his Grade 7 year at Marken Primary in 1998. Tapala went on finish his Matric at Waterberg High School and completed his Medical studies at the University of Stellenbosch. He works at Witpoort Hospital.
Grade 7 learners each received a bible from the Bible association and the Dutch Reformed Church Marken. Reverend Hannes Peens handed out the bibles to learners.
During the year learners collected canned foods and coins for the Viana Old Age home in Marken. A cheque of R1 000 was handed over to Tiny Mosethla on behalf of the home.
