A 25-year-old man was sentenced to ten years in prison for the rape of a woman residing in Senita Village outside of Marken by the Lephalale regional court last week.

Frans Mokitlana was found guilty of forcefully removing the 38-year-old victim from her home in front of her ten-year-old son before he raped her in the bushes near her house in March 2016.
“We are proud of the hard work and dedication shown by constable Frans Thulare of the Family violence Child protection and Sexual offences (FCS) unit,” said warrant officer Frans Mokoena of the Lephalale police.
