LEPHALALE – Plans to close Hendrik Pistorius street and construct permanent stalls for hawkers as part of a dedicated informal market area may finally become a reality as the municipality recently approved plans for the construction of stalls.

The department of waste management in Lephalale joined forces with residents in Kerk street and areas of Onverwacht to keep their streets clean. The department launched a bluebag project to encourage residents to collect recyclables. These bags are then collected each Friday by the municipality and taken to the Recycling centre. And while he claimed to have had different reasons for killing each victim, he told the court how he strangled his second victim with the cord of her cellphone charger after raping her. To strangle his third victim, he used a shoelace.
