Four of Marshall Gymnastics Academy’s (MGA) senior gymnasts represented Limpopo at the South African National Gym Games last week. They competed against gymnasts from all nine provinces in South Africa and a team from Namibia.
Gymnast all over the globe recently celebrated World Gymnastics Day and with their eye on the future and Olympic Gold in their hearts, Marshall Gymnastics Academy (MGA) gymnasts in Mokopane joined in the celebration of their sport.
THABAZIMBI - The senior and high performance gymnasts at Marshall Gymnastics Academy (MGA) are gearing up to compete for their spot in the Limpopo team in September. Last weekend saw them competing at the Waterberg District Competition for Level 4-6 gymnasts at Kruiskrag Gymnastics in Thabazimbi.
Mokopane's own Richard Marshall of the Marshall Gymnastics Academy was one of the coaches who trained other coaches from all over Southern Africa as part of the Federation Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) Foundation Course in Polokwane.

Gymnastics is about to take off in a big way in Limpopo! Mokopane's Marshall Gymnastics Academy (MGA) is at the centre of a drive to promote the sport and develop home grown gymnasts in the province.
MOKOPANE - Two level 5 gymnasts from Marshall Gymnastics Academy (MGA) competed at the SA Gym Games at the Matsport Centre in Centurion during the first week of October. "We are proud of Jan van der Baan and Melody Raats," says MGA's Richard Marshall. "They competed against the best gymnasts from all nine provinces and performed very well for the Limpopo team."

Marshall Gymnastics Academy was represented by five gymnasts at the North Zone Festival hosted at the Matsport Centre in Gauteng on the 23-24 June. The gymnasts competed as part of the Limpopo team, having obtained their Limpopo colours in Modimolle earlier in June.
