Charity was the big winner at Mogalakwena Mine’s 18th charity golf day, the Bushveld Classic, at the Kameeldoring Country Club in Mokopane this weekend.
With the help of 48 sponsors an impressive R210 000 were raised which were handed over by Mogalakwena Mine’s General Manager, Richard Cox to the following receiving charities: Aletuke Centre for Orphans and Mistreated Children, CANSA, Mahwalereng Centre of Hope, Need Forum, Piet Potgieter Monument Old Age Home, Potgietersrus Dienssentrum vir Bejaardes, Rotary Club, Round Table Kameeldoring 92, SPCA, Suid-Afrikaanse Vrouefederasie, Thobela Centre for Disabled and the Thula Thula Baby House.
Cox thanked everyone for their wonderful contribution to the day making it a huge success. With the most entries ever and the biggest amount so far donated to the charities (R30 000 more than in 2012), this was by far the best golf day thus far presented by Mogalakwena Mine.
