An arts & crafts market will be held at the Louis Trichardt SPCA on 10 August.
The market will coincide with the SPCA’s monthly farmer’s market.

According to Mr Wayne Page, one of the organisers, the aim of the market is to establish a platform for local craftsmen. Exhibitors who produce handcrafted goods and food stuffs are welcome. They discourage exhibitors who sell mass-produced products.

The arts & crafts market promises to be a fun-filled event, with horse rides for the children, face painting and lots of games.

A potjiekos competition will also take place where teams can enter to find out who is the best chef. All proceeds of the potjiekos competition go towards the local SPCA.

The fee for entering the potjiekos competition is R100 per team. Those who want to taste the best dishes can buy tickets at R50 each. Lots of attractive prizes can be won. Apart from the potjiekos, there will also be atchar, biltong, biscuits, books, Boerewors rolls, chutney, clothing, cold drinks, pancakes, stokworsies, water and much more on sale.

The market starts at 09:00 and should continue until 16:00.
