Are you an informal business owner living in the Mogalakwena Municipal area?

Ivanplats recognises the significant role of the informal economy in local economic activities.
Through the Informal and Micro Enterprise Development Program, Ivanplats supports a
Local Economic Development inclusive development initiative for local community members.
Apply for a three month, part time programme that offers a package of business skills training
that provides an appropriate basis for operating a successful small business.

The programme does not offer business funding, but provides skills development
opportunities.
HDSA Residents of Mogalakwena Municipality who owns an active informal business can
apply for this programme.


APPLICATION PROCESS
To apply for this programme, you need to submit the following documentation:
A certified copy of your South African ID
A certified copy of your statement of results (minimum requirement Grade 10/NQF2)
Proof of residence
Confirmation of business physical address
Proof of ownership i.e. CC or company documents if applicable
Financial records: Financial statements or 3 months bank statements for the
individual/business/stokvel.
Your cell phone number
List of employees with ID numbers
A one paragraph write-up on what the business do – it can be typed or hand written
List 4 items or services that will improve your business and make it more successful
You can submit your application by dropping it in a sealed envelope in the tender box at Ivanplats’ offices, 7 Second Street, Old Industrial Area, Mokopane.

Closing date for applications: 15 February 2018 at 16:00

After the initial selection process, an Ivanplats representative will visit selected businesses to
verify the information provided in the application.
This opportunity is for informal businesses who are not necessarily interested in formalising and
becoming part of the formal procurement system driven economy.
