Makepan chief is new tour guide

Chief of the Makepan community, Ernest Mkhari, has recently qualified as a tour guide and is now the first official guide for tours to Makepan’s caves north of Mokopane.
Mkhari and his community are now also the legal owners of the Makepans Valley after a successful land claim. Members of the public can book tours to Makepan’s caves for Saturdays and Sundays at the Mokopane Game Breeding Centre between 08h00 and 16h00 any day of the week. The centre can be contacted at 015 491 4314.
