Reaching out to the elderly

The Potgietersrus Centre for the Aged recognises the saying that goes: ‘The elderly in the community must look after one another’. This is why money raised from the Kierieklapper Arts Festival’s Food and Wine Parings hosted by the Waterberg FET College Hotel School was donated to the Mahwelereng Association of Pensioners.
Johan Kirchner, the Kierieklapper chairperson, and Estelle Hartzenberg, manager at the Potgietersrus Centre for the Aged, handed over the donation to the Mahwelereng Association of Pensioners during their monthly Branch Meeting held at the Mahwelereng Community Hall earlier this month. Ms. N.E. Letshela, the vice chairperson of the Mahwelereng Association of Pensioners, received the donation on behalf of the association and thanked the Potgietersrus Centre for the Aged and the FET College for this donation.
