Tourism stakeholders get together

Limpopo Tourism Agency CEO, Nocks Seabi, together with MEC for LEDET, Pinky Kekana, and Executive Mayor of Waterberg District, Rosina Mogotlane, hosted tourism stakeholders and members of the media at a relaxed tourism stakeholders meeting at Doorndraai Dam near Mokopane last Friday.
The goal of the event was for the Tourism Agency CEO to interact, network and strengthen relations with media and tourism stakeholders while deliberating on issues of common interest.
There was also an opportunity to visit Entabeni Lodge where the TAFI (Travel Agents Federation of India) delegation were conducting a pre-conversion tour and Trade workshop. The workshop focused on the Limpopo product offerings to the Indian market.
One of the highlights of the day was the fishing competition where 25 Tourism learners from 5 high schools which are situated near the Dam Resort pitted their skills against the local fish population. Participating schools were: E.D.L. Rampola, Makhutjisha, Gojela, Waterberg High and Hoër Skool Piet Potgieter.

 

 

 
 

Delegates had the option of going on a boat cruise on Doorndraai dam or a game drive in the nature reserve.
Three of the tourism learners, Pious Mogashoam, Mpho Selepe and George Mawelelela who participated in the fishing competition at Doorndraai Dam last Friday.
