Measles and Polio campaign

The National Department of Health is planning to carry out two immunisation rounds during 2013. The first round will cover Polio and Measles starting between 29 April and 17 May. The second round will cover only Polio and will run between 17 and 28 June.
During the first round all babies/children from birth to 59 months must receive Polio drops and children from nine months to 59 months must receive a measles injection. These immunisations are extra and not part of the normal immunisations required for children. Visit your nearest clinic during this period.
Crèches and day care centers will also be visited according to programs given to schools/centers. During the second round all these children will receive the Polio drops again.
