Rabies vaccination

To protect you and your family, compulsory Rabies vaccinations will be done by Veterinary officials, free of charge.  You are requested to present all dogs and cats on your property older than three months for this highly important vaccination. Vaccination should be done annualy.
In 2011 there were several outbreaks of Rabies as close as 15km outside Mokopane where six cattle died.
In these cases there was also human and dog contact. This year there was outbreak near Gillemburg. With support from the public 2 898 dogs/cats were vaccinated during 2012 in Mokopane compared to 1 647 in 2010 and 1709 in 2011.
It will be appreciated if you can also inform your neighbors of the vaccinations.
