Municipal workers keep in shape

“A healthy mind, in a healthy body” was the slogan of the wellness day organised by the Lephalale municipality  at the Mogol sports grounds last Wednesday.
“When employees are healthy they increase productivity in the work place,” said municipal manager, Bob Naidoo.
“Your wealth is your health so take care of your health” he added.
The municipality played volleyball, soccer and netball against the SAMHS.
Mayor Jack Maeko said  Lephalale needs healthy employees to build a healthy city. The mayor also said  the youth need to invest their time and effort in sports and going to church. This will deter them from alcohol and substance abuse and so reduce the spreading of HIV. People had the opportunity to test their cholesterol levels, HIV, TB and blood pressure at the mobile centre provided.
