Burglars raid convenience store

A gang of burglars gained access to the MTB fuel station’s adminis-trative offices and convenience store when they climbed into the ceiling of a staff bathroom.
The burglars crawled through the roof space to the offices. Police spokesperson, Irene Masingi, says seven safes were cut open with an angle grinder with an eighth safe being damaged without the burglars succeeding in cutting it open. The thieves managed to flee the scene with cash and miscellaneous goods from the convenience store. On Tuesday morning a full team of forensic
experts combed the scene for clues and arrests are expected shortly.
