Students back Malema’s Party

Students at the Lephalale FET showed their backing for Julius Malema’s new political party when they participated in a poll by their student representative council this week. Students had to choose a party which they thought would bring change to their lives and the country as a whole, mainly on challenges that the youth are facing such as education and unemployment.
“I think it will be wise for the youth of South Africa to follow Malema as [Jacob] Zuma fired a lot of leaders who don’t support his ideologies,” said Ben Thompson.
Out of the 10 parties that were in the line-up, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) came out as the most favored with the ANC in second place and the Democratic Alliance in third.
Some of the basic foundation principles of the EFF are to expropriate South Africa’s land without compensation for equal redistribution, nationalisation of mines, banks and other strategic sectors of the economy, free quality education, healthcare, houses, sanitation and to build state and government capacity, which will lead to abolishment of tenders.
Stevens Sebutlana said that the EFF is the best and the only party for the youth in South Africa with Victor Hlangwane adding to that saying the ANC created freedom but they are failing to lead the country.
