Skimzozo ladies soccer team in Marapong had Bushbucks ladies team eating out of the palm of their hands when they played a friendly match on Friday at Shongoane. Skimzozo’s striker, Tsietsi Modise, scored the first goal of the match in the first half of the game from a cross by Pholosho Mushi.
Bushbucks ladies tried their best to come to the party, but Tsietsi had no mercy. She soon returned with a thunderous strike to put Skimzozo in the lead.
Mavis Serumula didn’t want to be left out when she joined Tsietsi on the score sheet with a nice shot on goal, leaving the Bucks goalkeeper clueless. The game went to half time with Skimzozo leading 3-0.
When they returned for the second half, Bucks tried to get back in the game but Skimzozo was too powerful.
Tsietsi felt they needed more goals when she scored a hat-trick by dribbled through the Bucks defence and goalkeeper to make it 4-0. In the boys u/15 Bushbucks won the Top Four friendly tournament when they knocked out Skomzozo boys by 2 goals to nil, advancing to the final to play against Steve Biko FC were they won 1-0.
