Checkers Mokopane celebrated women’s month this week with its female staff speaking out against crime and abuse.
“Women must stick together and fight the abuse - we must learn to speak up and fight for our rights or we will remain oppressed,” says Faith Senne at Checkers Mokopane.
The woman stood with arms linked as words of encouragement were passed on by colleague. They emphasized that women need to enforce respect in their homes and work force, says another Checkers employee, Rachel Kgatla, who then ululated with the other ladies joining in.
The celebration featured a dance routine from the Sarafina dancers and a prize giving ceremony at the end. The celebrations were the first of their kind for Mokopane branch.
