Trees are a way of life

Last Friday the Mogalakwena Municipality celebrated  Arbor week with the rest of the country when acting mayor, Rehab Lebelo and  other councillors, EXCO members and officials planted 10 trees at  Ithuteng Primary School in Mahwelereng  and distributed trees and plants to neighbouring schools.In the meantime the Mogalakwena Mayor Tlhalefi Mashamaite, and members of his office were officially opening the Amoloba Nursery, a first in Tenerif Village.
“We are happy that this nursery has created 13 permanent job opportunities and  will create another five opportunities for the community of Ramela Village,” said Mashamaite.
The Mayor also added on that we should not ignore the fact that trees are the lungs of the earth and  that by planting trees and greening the country we are reducing our carbon footprint.
