American citizen stabbed in guest house

LEPHALALE - Police reported that an American citizen, Danny Simon, was attacked by two unknown suspects, wielding a wheel spanner and a knife, on Thursday at a guest house in Onverwacht, Lephalale, around 03:00 in the morning.
According to the police report, Simon was tied up with a USB cable and shoe laces on his bed. The suspects found a safe and demanded the safe code, but when Simon said that the safe did not belong to him, the robbers allegedly shoved a newspaper in his mouth and stabbed him in the leg.
The perpetrators searched the house and came across a camera, knife kit, a watch, cell phones and a laptop.
The suspects are still at large.
