At a recent Community Policing Forum Meeting the youth in Mahwelereng expressed concern over imposters posing as police during robbery attempts.
CPF chairperson, Andy Goetsch, advised that when people fear they are being followed or pulled over by what might be illigit police or traffic officers, they should simply slow down, drive to a well-lit public area such as a filling station. “Once you are there you can get out of your car and present yourself to these police or traffic officials.”
Mokopane Vispol commander, Lt.Col. Isaac Mantjane, added that the public has the right to ask for an appointment certificate.
