At a recent Limpopo United Business Forum (LUBF) meeting in Polokwane, a decision was taken to move forward to the adoption of a constitution for the organisation on 12 December 2013. Present at the meeting were the business organisations AHi, BLA, BMF, FABCOS and NAFCOC, who all expressed their wholehearted support for an organisation that can speak on behalf of business in Limpopo as a whole. Various other organisations have also previously expressed their support for- and participation in the LUBF, but could not attend the meeting.
LUBF sees itself as the conduit between local business and the provincial government for situations that cannot be resolved locally. To this end the Office of the Premier will be approached to schedule a first meeting with the premier for 2013 still.
A code of conduct for the LUBF is in progress. Any organisation with at least a Limpopo regional footprint that has business as its focus, is invited to join the LUBF. For this purpose contact its chairperson, PC Mogale, through the BLA offices in Polokwane.
