Unisa more accessible to Lephalale students

A partnership agreement between the Lephalale Municipality and the University of South Africa (Unisa) was formalised last Thursday with the aim to bring Unisa tertiary education services closer to the people of Lephalale.
The university endeavours to build a vi-deo conference facility in Lephalale to assists Unisa students living in the area.
“This partnership will cut “distance” out of distance learning for local Unisa students,” says the municipal communication & public participation manager, Nakampe Monyepao.
“Through this partnership, Unisa will roll out community engagement programmes and workshops in career guidance as well as motivational sessions to benefit learners. Workshops for educators of scarce and critical skills are also in the pipeline,” says Monyepao.
He ads that Unisa has also established a working agreement with Lephalale FET
College to conduct support programmes at the college on Saturdays.
