Lephalale drug busts

 
The K9-unit of the Lephalale police received a tip off on Wednesday morning that a vendor was selling drugs near the testing grounds on OR Tambo Drive. The man was searched and eight packets of dagga were found in his possession. He was taken into custody by Constable M Maledi and Constable R Lebodi (photo right).

The Crime Prevention unit of the Lephalale police stopped and searched patrons of a tavern in Onverwacht on Tuesday and arrested three suspects who were in possession of illegal substances. Mandrax, dagga, Nyaope and a dangerous weapon were found on the suspects. They were arrested and had their car impounded. The suspects are all from the Eastern Cape and appeared in the Lephalale magistrate’s court on Wednesday.
