The Mokopane SAPS travelled with the Community Policing Forum, VEP and Youth Against Crime embarked on a cleaning campaign for 67 minutes on Mandela Day last month.
Inspiration was drawn from President Jacob Zuma's statement that we need to clean our environments. In this regards station commander, Col. Lucas Mogwaneng and the SAPS Mokopane management decided to clean the local police station and the detective offices.
They also proceeded to Thula Thula Baby Centre in Geyser street where they planted a vegetable garden. The projects were made possible by donors including the Great North Taxi Association, Spar, Peter's Cafe, Melting Pot, Midas and Power Bake bakery.
