LEPHALALE – Four suspects has been arrested in connection with the alleged hijacking and murder of Tsepo Majadibodu from Seleka, whose body was found next to the road near the D’Nyala game reserve outside Lephalale in October 2014.
Majadibodu was driving a minivan transporting a group of women from Botswana to Durban for a monthly shopping trip, when the vehicle was allegedly stopped by four suspects dressed in police uniforms. The women were robbed, tied up and left next to the road.
Majadibodu and the minivan was taken. However, the minivan was later found 200m down a gravel road exiting the R33.
The first suspect was arrested at a taxi rank in Kempton Park at the end of January and the other three shortly after.
The four suspects appeared in the Lephalale Magistrate’s court on Tuesday with angry taxi drivers protesting outside the court. The suspects will appear in court again on 9 February.
