Baby’s sudden death queried

MAPELA VILLAGE - Police are investigating the mysterious death of a 9-month-old baby girl who died shortly after she was rushed to a clinic for continuous vomiting.
Shelly Mabusela took her seemingly healthy daughter, Ditiro, to a créche in Mapela village last Tuesday while she attended a computer course nearby. The single mother from Bakenberg’s whole life turned into a nightmare later that day when someone from the local clinic phoned her and informed her that her daughter had died.
A doctor who examined the baby’s body, later told the confused mother that Ditiro may have been force-fed. The child’s death certificate cites an unnatural cause. The police are awaiting the results of a post mortem.
An case has been opened and investigations are continuing. Ditiro was buried last Saturday.
