MOKOPANE – Employees of MBD took time last week to add their voices to the call against xenophobia that has engulfed SA.
The employees of the company took to the streets with placards and chanting: “We Say No!”. They urged passing motorists and passers-by to hoot and shout out against the recent xenophobic attacks.
“We regard ourselves as responsible citisens, and when our employees urged us to add our voice to this call we saw it as befitting,” said an MBD representative. “We have a branch in Botswana, so we regard ourselves as an African company, rather than a SA company."
This initiative by MBD employees coincided with the #NoToXenophobia march which took place in Johannesburg last week.
