LEPHALALE – A woman’s alleged plans to kill her stepfather was ruined this weekend due to good police work and assistance by the community.
A 34-year-old woman travelled to Lephalale from Kwazulu-Natal to visit her stepfather residing here. Her real motives were revealed when an informer phoned the police to inform them that she allegedly had plans to kill her stepfather.
According to W/O Frans Mokoena, the Lephalale police spokesperson, they acted swiftly and found the firearm that would've allegedly been used for the murder on the suspect's person.
Two male suspects, who formed part of the alleged plans are still at large.
The woman is expected to appear in the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Thursday on charges of conspiracy to commit murder.
