R200 000 drug bust

MOKOPANE – The police busted a 35-year-old Nigerian man last week for possessing drugs with an estimated value of R200 000.
Members of the police’s K9 unit and crime intelligence acted on information that lead to the man’s arrest. The suspect was found in possession of cocaine, rock and crystal meth, said provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto. An undisclosed amount of cash, a laptop and cell phones were also confiscated by police said Otto.
The man is expected to appear in the Mokerong Magistrates’ Court in Mawelereng.
