MOKOPANE - Chairman of the Mokopane Business Chamber, Piet de Bruyn, says he is positive about business' role in the future development of the town.
De Bruyn says that the Chamber has regular meetings with the Mogalakwena municipality to highlight issues of concern.
Chamber representatives recently met with senior management at the municipality and highlighted various concerns
relating to the the supply chain management within the municipality when it comes to the allocation of tenders.
"The municipality said that it would look into the issues raised and provide feedback," says de Bruyn.
De Bruyn adds that local business form a vital part of the town's economy and that the chamber is a non-political organisation that aim to serve the community at large. "In the end, we want to see corruption rooted out and positive economic growth in Mokopane," he says.
