Body found in river

SHONGOANE – The body of a 61-year-old man was found floating in a shallow stream near Shongoane Extension 1 on Monday.
Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena of the Lephalale police says the body was disco-vered by passersby. “At this stage we can’t confirm whether the deceased was murdered or if he drowned. It is suspected that the man had been lying in the water for a long time and the body had already been affected by the natural elements.”
 An inquest into the case has been launched by the police.
