Horror crash claims 14

MOKOPANE – Fourteen people, including an eight-month-old baby, died in a horror crash on the R101 South of Mokopane around 1:30 on Wednesday morning.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Irene Masingi, reports that a double cab bakkie,en-route to to Pretoria, was carrying 14 people when it collided head-on with a truck hea-ding towards Polokwane.
Police suspect that the bakkie's driver was fatigued. He and a passenger were rushed to hospital. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries.
The victims, who died on the scene, is said to have been foreign nationals.
The driver of the bakkie will be charged with culpable homicide,
Masingi said. The investigation continues.
