Huge dagga bust

LEPHALALE – Five suspects were arrested and dagga plants valued R50 000 confiscated during a police operation last Friday.
Warrant Officer Frans Mokoena of the Lephalale police said they received a tip-off regarding a dagga plantation on Eden Farm. “We obtained an urgent court order to access the farm and found four camps where dagga was grown.”
About 180kg of dagga plants were confiscated during the operation. The suspects appeared in the Lephalale magistrate court on Monday.
