No bail for Matjila in Baloyi case

MOGALAKWENA - Samuel Matjila has been denied bail once more by the Mokerong magistrate court last week for his alleged involvement in the murder of Danny Baloyi 12 years ago.
Samuel Matjila, taxi owner and a co-accused in the alleged assassination of Danny Baloyi in 2004, will remain in police custody following the court’ refusal to grant him bail in another attempt to be free from jail.
The town’s taxi boss, appeared in the Mokerong magistrate court in Mahwelereng for his alleged involvement following the alleged assassination of Danny Baloyi who was shot in 2004.
Matjila is the owner of a fleet of taxis and faces other two high profile cases in which Charles Mgidi and Gideon Fatana was also shot and killed in two separated incidents within two weeks apart.
Matjila and the main suspect in the Baloyi case, Samuel Tshilambavuma are expected to appear in court on 1 July for indictment.
