Huge drug bust at Groblersbrug border post

GROBLERSBRUG – A Tanzanian man (33) with a Lesotho-passport was arrested with 93 bags of heroin with an estimated value of R93-million as well as R139 900 and $10 000 US dollars when he was apprehended by police on Monday. “Members from the Groblersbrug border post received information that the vehicle might be transporting drugs,” said warrant officer Frans Mokoena of the Lephalale police. The vehicle was intercepted by members of Bulgerivier SAPS who found hidden panels behind the back seats as well as on the back of the Nissan NP300. “The man  will be appearing in the Lephalale Magistrate Court on Tuesday.
