LEPHALALE – Two Mozambican citizens were arrested after they were found in possession of property presumably stolen from a house in Camelot Estate during the early hours of Thursday morning.
According to warrant officer, Frans Mokoena of the Lephalale police an employee at the estate woke up after hearing a noise during the night. “When the worker confronted the men, who were later identified as Manuel Ubise (21) and Raimto Mayisa (20), they ran away and managed to allegedly steal a plasma television, a laptop, two computer screens and computer cables.”
Molalatau Security and the police’s dog unit embarked on a search for the suspects which led to their arrest later the same day. “The men were sleeping in the bushes not far from where they allegedly broke in when they were apprehended.”
The stolen property was recovered by Molalatau Security and the suspects were charged with housebreaking and theft. They appeared in the Lephalale magistrate court on Monday.
