MAHWELERENG - More than 3000 people have already registered to benefit from Mogalakwena Municipality's new middle-income housing project planned for Extension 20 in Mahwelereng.
The Mogalakwena Municipality did not respond to requests for more information regarding the project, but DA Ward Councillor Yolandi Coetzee confirmed that the project is not a new one, but has been in the pipeline for some time. She confirmed that the budget to move forward with the project was only recently approved.
Services for water, sewage and electricity is being installed for a total of 962 sites.
To qualify for the project, employed individuals earning between R3000 and R20 000 per month can register at office 211 and 215 at the Mogalakwena municipality before 31 August (take along your indentity document, payslips and bank statements to qualify).
