MOKOPANE - The Community Policing Forum (CPF) and the Mokopane Business Chamber have teamed up to launch an initiative to improve the working relationship between the SAPS and the public. The initiative is based on a feedback form that can be filled out at the police station.
Whether you receive proper or unsatisfactory service, the form can be filled out and submitted. These results will then be discussed on a weekly basis with the station commander. All good results will be evaluated and a special award will be given to the official with the highest score. The hope is that this will encourage police members to give their best at all times. Complaints will be dealt with and the person involved and who submitted the form will be contacted with feedback.
The date, time and the concerned official’s name and rank of the person who a person was assisted by and case number must be filled in with as much information as possible. A blank paper may be added to this form if more space is needed. English is preferred but not essential. These forms can be obtained and submitted manually or via e-mail to the Mokopane Business Chamber at Thabo Mbeki 40, Hyundai Building, 1st floor /e-mail: mokopane.bit@mweb.co.za.
The CPF chairperson Andy Goetsch encourages the community to report all crimes and reminds the community not to hesitate when they need to open a case. The police are there to assist anyone who needs assistance. “By getting involved with this new initiative we can all work together for a better understanding and improved service,” said Goetsch.
