Five years for using vehicle without consent

LEPHALALE – A 20-year-old male, Ntshidi April Moremi, was sentenced to five years imprisonment on Friday for using a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. According to warrant officer Frans Mokoena of the Lephalale police, Moremi was initially charged with theft of motor vehicle when he took a vehicle from a farm on the Jemima road near Marken but due to legal technicalities the charge was changed by the court. “We would like to congratulate sergeant Martin Makgae of the Villa Nora police for his excellent job to secure this conviction.”
