VILLA NORA – A 25-year-old male was arrested for the rape of a ten-year-old girl in Villa Nora last week. Lephalale police spokesperson warrant officer Frans Mokoena says the man allegedly visited the house where the child is staying. Her parents were not at home.
“According to the parents they went to their neighbours’ home to watch television when the man found the child alone at home and raped her.”
The child reported the matter to her parents and the man was arrested shortly after the incident. The suspect appeared in the Witpoort magistrate court on Monday and the case was postponed for a formal bail application.
