LEPHALALE – The Lephalale community policing forum (CPF) warned members of the public to stay vigilant during the upcoming festive season. “We are approaching the silly season when criminals target unsuspecting people to try and steal their money,” said Thys Eloff, chairman of the Lephalale CPF.
He says they have information that a syndicate from Polokwane and Mokopane is operating in the Lephalale area that focuses on ATM users. “These culprits are not permanently in the area and we would like to appeal to residents to stay away from ATM’s in busy areas where the criminals can easily disappear after they grab the money.”
