Man arrested for killing girlfriend and male companion
MOKOPANE –A 48-year-old man has been arrested by the Mokopane police after shooting and killing his girlfriend and her male companion on Monday evening for allegedly being romantically involved with each other.

According to a police statement from lt. kol Moatshe Ngoepe, the suspect found his girlfriend with another man in a parked car on the corner of Retief and Pretorius Street. The deceased (both from Mokopane) have been identified as Elliot Makalela (49) and Sina Kgosana (32). The motive for the killing is still unknown but police say a love triangle might be the cause.
The suspect will appear before the Mokopane magistrate court soon on two counts of murder. Police investigations are continuing.
