Yet another armed robbery has occurred in Mokopane on Sunday, bringing it to a total of three within one week.
Ackermans in Thabo Mbeki Drive suffered an estimated loss of R112000 after an armed robber targeted the store on Sunday morning. According to Mokopane police spokesperson sergeant Irene Masingi, the suspect demanded the store’s safe keys from the employees. He then took a large amount of cellular phones from the safe and fled with two other suspects.
This has been the third armed robbery since Monday last week where two women were robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash on their way to Standard Bank in the Mokopane Mall. Thursday a second female was targeted and robbed in front of FNB.
No shots were fired and no injuries were reported in Sunday’s incident.
