Early Christmas for traditional leaders

MOKOPANE - In an effort to establish a good relationship and improve communication with the traditional leadership, a Mogalakwena municipality delegation comprising Mayor Andrina Matsemela and other councilors handed gifts to traditional leaders at the Lleka Lekalakala Council Chambers last Friday.
The Mayor expressed her hope for the municipality to continue to work with the traditional leaders and the community as most of the development and implementation of projects are done in the area of the jurisdiction of these leaders.
Kgoši Lesiba Vaaltyn Kekana said he was thankful for the engagement of traditional leaders around the municipality as the meeting could pave the way for development. “We are one big family and can win the war against poverty and underdevelopment if we can speak in one voice. We are happy that the district has made more money available for water projects. We hope the shenanigans of the previous council could soon be the thing of the past, as our communities need services.”
