MOKOPANE – CCTV footage at First National Bank (FNB) shows a woman being robbed by armed suspects in front of the building while on her way to deposit cash on Wednesday afternoon.
Elsabe Nel, operations manager of FNB in Mokopane, urges people to be vigilant when they plan to deposit cash. Northern News spoke to Nel not long after the business woman and her colleague were targeted by armed robbers only moments after they got out of their vehicle.
Nel said the footage was not clear, but according to a security guard that witnessed the incident, the two suspects came from across the street. They pointed a gun at their victim who surrendered the undisclosed amount of cash.
The security guard said the suspects then fled in a white GTI Golf. No shots were fired and no one was injured.
The Mokopane police is investigating the incident. Several incidents of armed robbery was reported over the past month. In three incidences, the
