Four sentenced for rape

MAHWELERENG - Justice has prevailed for a 21-year-old woman after the four men accused of raping and robbing her was sentenced to life in prison in the Mokerong court earlier this week.

Eric Lebogo (21), David Mashishi (20), Tshepho Lentswane (29) and Thabo Hlongwane (22) were sentence to life in prison for rape and 15 years for robbery. The sentences will run concurrently.

The men were arrested in 2015 after they raped the victim, then 19-years-old, near the Pulse Tavern in Gamagongoa on 29 November at 01:30 in the morning. The crime was reported and the men were arrested and charged.
