Lephalale's Rina has her eye on Mrs Universal crown
Rina’s reign continues as Mrs South Africa Universal. During Rina’s reign, she was selected to represent South Africa on an International platform as she was chosen to compete at the Mrs. Universal Pageant World Finals in London from 3-10 September.

Mrs Grand South Africa 2016, Rina van Schalkwyk handed over her crown at the 2017 Zee World Mrs Grand South Africa pageant grand finale that took place at the Roodepoort Theatre on 15 June. The Zee World Mrs Grand SA pageant is open to married and divorced women aged 25-55 years.
During Rina’s reign, she was selected to represent South Africa on an International platform as she was chosen to compete at the Mrs. Universal Pageant World Finals in London in September. Commonwealth Pageants South Africa is the license holder for the pageant in the country. Rina’s reign continues as Mrs South Africa Universal.
During her reign as Mrs Grand South Africa, she founded and registered the Reinhardt Drewel Foundation SA, the country’s first non-profit organisation to target National Drowning Prevention awareness by offering dynamic, innovative National Drowning Prevention Awareness & Education Programmes to community-based, supervised child-care, pre-school and primary schools. These National Campaigns aim to prevent all future accidental drowning fatalities and non-fatal drowning disabilities in the country and across the continent.RDF SA has Associated and Drowning Prevention Partnership with Lifesaving South Africa and Medical Partnership with ER24 EMS Pty Ltd.
The impact when a child drowns or is disabled due to non-fatal drowning is immense. Families are left with permanent emotional scars and children with injuries so severe, some of them need lifelong care.
Global estimates may significantly underestimate the actual Public Health problem related to drowning.
RDF SA is also the first and only Charity in South Africa providing support services and equipment to children disabled by non-fatal drowning or other associated Cerebral Hypoxic brain injury.
Rina believe that no disabled child should be excluded or have to wait for equipment and therapy that are essential to their daily care and quality of life.
